Worship and Chapel

At CWC, worship is an important part of the rhythm of daily life and learning. Through daily devotions, chapel, prayer, and scripture, students are encouraged to grow in their relationship with God while learning alongside a Christ-centered community. Worship at CWC helps students develop habits of faith, reflect on God’s truth, and grow together as a school community centered on Christ.

Our Rhythm of Worship

Daily Devotions

Every school day begins with classroom devotions and prayer. Daily devotions provide opportunities for students and teachers to begin each day grounded in God’s Word and connected as a classroom community.

Elementary Chapel

Elementary students participate in chapel approximately every other week, helping younger students build foundational habits of worship, prayer, and learning about God’s love and truth in age-appropriate ways.

Middle and High School Chapel

Middle school and high school students participate in weekly chapels that encourage worship and spiritual growth.

Connection Groups

Middle school and high school students also participate in Connection Groups—small groups led by teachers and staff that create intentional opportunities for students to connect, reflect, and grow together.

 

These groups provide a supportive environment for students to discuss age-appropriate topics related to:

  • Faith and spiritual growth
  • Relationships and friendships
  • Identity and purpose
  • Challenges students may face
  • Encouragement, prayer, and community

WOW: We Offer Worship

One of the special rhythms of life at CWC is WOW, when the entire school community gathers together in worship. This monthly, all-school worship time brings students from every grade level together for a time of connection, music and prayer.

Spiritual Emphasis Day

Each year, CWC dedicates a school day for our high school students to engage in community and grow spiritually. Teachers and staff organize the day’s activities. Throughout the years, our teachers have cooked breakfast for our students, organized competitions between grades, and led Connection Group discussions. The day is marked by prayer, worship and an opportunity for students to grow deeper in their faith.
